Guiberteau Saumur Blanc Clos de Carmes 2020 is one of the most elegant and complex expressions of Chenin Blanc, from an exclusive vineyard within the prestigious terroir of Brézé, in the Loire Valley.

Farmed using biodynamic practices and vinified with minimal intervention, this wine accurately reflects the calcareous minerality characteristic of chalk-rich soils. Domaine Guiberteau, renowned for its meticulous work in the cellar and vineyard, produces this white wine with great structure, longevity and sophistication, ideal for lovers of aged whites.

Guiberteau Saumur Blanc Clos de Carmes tasting notes:

Appearance: Pale golden colour with greenish reflections, bright and crystalline.

Nose: Deep and complex aromas of fresh citrus (lemon, grapefruit) and white fruits (pear, green apple). As it evolves in the glass, delicate floral notes of jasmine and acacia blossom emerge, along with an elegant mineral background, subtle hints of butter, nuts and brioche, contributed by its aging in barrels.

Palate: Vibrant freshness with a marked acidity that highlights its mineral character. On the palate, flavors of citrus fruits, almonds and a creamy texture are balanced with exceptional tension and depth. Long, salty and persistent finish, with chalky and spicy notes that evolve with aeration.
