Guiberteau Saumur Blanc Le Bourg 2022 is an exceptional Chenin Blanc, from one of the most prestigious plots in the Loire Valley.
Grown on chalk and clay soils in the Le Bourg vineyard, this white wine reflects the purity of the Saumur terroir with unique elegance and complexity. Domaine Guiberteau, renowned for its biodynamic approach and minimal-intervention winemaking, produces this cuvée with meticulous work in the cellar and aging in oak barrels, achieving a structured, mineral wine with great longevity.
Guiberteau Saumur le Bourg Blanc tasting note:
Appearance: Bright golden color with greenish reflections, a sign of its freshness and youth.
Nose: Intense and complex, with a combination of fresh citrus (lemon, grapefruit) and stone fruits (pear, apricot). As it evolves in the glass, nuances of white flowers, honey, toasted almonds and subtle notes of butter and brioche emerge, contributed by its aging in barrels.
Palate: Powerful and balanced, with vibrant acidity and a creamy texture that envelops the palate. Chalky mineral notes are perceived, along with flavors of baked apple, dried fruit and an elegant saline touch. Its finish is long, persistent and with incredible depth.
