Description
La Maragata is a signature red wine carefully produced by the Elías Mora winery, located in the Toro region of Spain.
This wine stands out for its unique character and the purity of the Tinta de Toro variety, coming from vineyards over 50 years old, traditionally cultivated in sandy and stony soils.
After careful fermentation and aging for 6 months in French oak barrels, La Maragata is presented as an expressive, elegant wine with a great aging capacity. It is a perfect example of the potential of the D.O. Toro, offering an authentic and memorable wine experience.
Tasting Notes of La Maragata:
Appearance: Intense cherry red in color with violet edges, it shows a high layer and dense tears, suggesting good concentration and maturity.
Nose: Powerful and complex on the nose, with aromas of ripe red and black fruits, such as cherries and blackberries, accompanied by spicy notes of black pepper, cloves and a hint of cocoa. Subtle nuances of vanilla, cedar and a mineral background are also perceived, reflecting the character of the terroir.
Palate: On the palate, it is a structured wine with a medium to full body, with an enveloping entry and firm but well-integrated tannins. It offers a balanced acidity that provides freshness, with flavors of ripe fruits, spices and smoky touches that combine for a long, persistent and slightly balsamic finish.
