Tignanello Antinori 2020 Magnum
D.O Chianti Classico DOCG
Cabernet Sauvignon Cabernet Franc Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon
Description
Tignarello Antinori is a red wine made from Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc grapes in the Tuscany region (Italy) by the Marchesi Antinori winery.
Produced only in the best vintages since 1971, Tignanello is a wine that has left its mark on the history of Italian oenology. Not only was he the first to use barrel-aged Sangiovese, he was also the first to modernize his blends with non-traditional varietals.
It is made with Sangiovese, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon from the vineyards of Tenuta Tignanello, a historic property of the Antinori family that extends over 57 hectares of vineyards in the southwest on limestone soil at an altitude of 350 to 400 meters.
Tignanello Antinori Tasting Note:
Tignanello is a very bright ruby red.
The nose impresses with the complexity of its first approach, highlighting the red and black berries and sweet spices. It is followed by other more masculine notes, leather and pipe tobacco, on a balsamic background, which adds depth to the whole.
In the mouth it is broad, clean and smooth, with a perfect balance between creaminess and freshness.
