This unique wine comes from the Rioja Alavesa region, made from historic vineyards located on high slopes and with traditional agricultural practices. It has a deep, clean and bright ruby red color, with garnet reflections that denote its structure and capacity for evolution.
On the nose, Yjar is an elegant and complex wine, with an aromatic range that combines ripe red fruits such as cherry and raspberry, with notes of black fruits such as blackberry and plum. Tertiary aromas include hints of sweet spices, leather, tobacco and a subtle mineral and balsamic character, reflecting the calcareous soil and Mediterranean herbs of its surroundings.
On the palate, it offers an extraordinary balance between freshness, structure and depth. The tannins are fine and silky, perfectly integrated with a vibrant acidity that provides vivacity. The flavors of ripe fruit intertwine with nuances of cocoa, licorice, aromatic herbs and a touch of smoke, leaving a velvety and persistent sensation.
