Tasting note of Aalto
Aalto is a red cherry red wine. On the nose it shows us notes of red fruits with subtle notes of spices and touches of fine wood well integrated. In the mouth it is fresh, with good density and volume, by retronasal the typical notes of licorice, coffee and tobacco appear, always within the Aalto style personality
This wine has a soft character and can be drunk from the first moment, as it shows round, with enveloping and balanced tannins, showing good acidity. Aalto will gain complexity over the years.
This vintage has been marked by a very dry autumn and winter, with rainfall below 60% of a normal year. Warm temperatures at the end of winter and early spring caused an early sprouting of the vineyard.
The entry of a mass of polar air brought widespread frosts throughout northern Spain in late April and early May causing significant losses in the vineyard. Fortunately, at the end of August the expected rains arrived that allowed the plant to finish its ripening cycle optimally. We start the harvest on September 19.
The grapes entered the winery in optimal sanitary conditions and with great quality.
