Description
Amrut Peated Cask Strength was the latest expression to join the "core range" of the Amrut family. He borrows the new bottle in the range, recognizable by its slimmer silhouette and its label inspired by the ornaments of an Indian palace. This unique Indian Single Malt has a personality with intense hints of smoke but also exotic fruits. It is made from Scottish malted barley and then dried over smoked Islay peat before aging in Bangalore, India. It is bottled without filtering and without lowering its powerful alcoholic percentage.
NOSE: smoked barley, salted butter and a slight hint of
Pepper.
PALATE: malt and dry oak.
FINISH: a sublime finish due to its sheer delicacy and elegance, it presents a well-balanced level of smoked peat. Trace of bourbon, smooth licorice and ground sugar.
