Description

The Amrut distillery was founded in 1948 as Amrut Laboratories. Established by Shri J N Radhakrishna, the company started blending and bottling various spirits. Due to the Indian climate 1 year of ageing would be equivalent to 4-5 years in Scotland. This gives Amrut Whisky unique nuances and characteristics among single malts worldwide.

Nose: smoked barley, with salted butter, pepper.

PALATE: malt and dry oak.

FINISH: a sublime finish for its sheer delicacy and elegance; peat in the right measure. Traces of bourbon, soft liquorice and caster sugar.
