D.O Champagne
Pinot Noir Chardonnay
Description
The freshness and complexity of a champagne signed by the Barons de Rothschild.
Combining purity, richness and aromatic complexity, the cuvée Extra Brut Barons de Rothschild combines all the qualities of a great Champagne with the Rothschild signature.
The result of an assemblage of Chardonnay (60%) mainly from the Côte des Blancs and Pinot Noir (40%) from the terroirs of Verzenay, Ay, Mareuil-sur-Ay and Bouzy, the cuvée Extra Brut Barons de Rothschild is composed of 40% reserve wines for added complexity.
Aged for 3 years, this cuvée will delight enthusiasts in search of champagnes endowed with great purity and minerality with its 3 grams per litre dosage. Once disgorged, Extra Brut Barons de Rothschild is aged for an additional 6 to 9 months to allow the champagne to reveal all its qualities.
Witness to both the art of blending and the art of the Barons de Rothschilds, this Extra Brut Champagne reveals a brilliant robe glistening with golden reflections that highlight the finesse of the effervescence of the bubble cordon. The aromatic bouquet opens with gourmand notes of pear and dried fruits that evoke almond and fresh hazelnut, while presenting delicate floral and toasted notes. On the palate, the frank attack in the mouth gives way to a full, round substance with restrained, balanced power. Due to its complexity, Barons de Rothschild Extra Brut Cuvée Barons de Rothschild will be perfect as an aperitif or with oysters, lobster carpaccio, scallops or noble meats, not forgetting matured hard cheeses.
