Description
Cartago is a red wine produced by Bodegas San Roman with 90% Tinta de Toro and 10% other varieties in the D.O. Toro.
Cartago is the name of a natural site located on the banks of the Duero River. Its vineyards come from this area, a natural environment dominated by meadows and pine forests on the banks of the Duero River in the municipality of Castronuño.
A small teso is selected at the highest altitude, at an altitude of 700 metres and above. More than 45 years old. Very sandy soils, with clay.
Cartago Tasting Notes
Appearance: Garnet colour with purple hues.
Nose: It stands out for its finesse, with notes of ripe black fruit. Tertiary notes with hints of iron, raw meat and spices.
Palate: Powerful, robust and aromatic. Velvety texture. Fine tannin. Long. Great weight of fruit.
