Description

Champagne Nicolas Maillart Platine Premier Cru is a champagne made from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay produced in the Champagne region by the Nicolas Maillart Winery.

In the Platine Premier Cru from Champagne Nicolas Maillart, the blend is dominated by Pinot Noir (55%), complemented by Chardonnay (45%) for added freshness. This Extra Brut Platine is distinguished by its high percentage of reserve wines (30 to 40%), aged in barrel, which brings remarkable consistency and style. Only "Grand" and Premier Crus from the Montagne de Reims are selected for this wine.

The winemaking process, carried out with great delicacy, preserves all the richness of the grapes. Aged for approximately 3 years on the lees, Nicolas Maillart's Extra Brut Platine displays all its complexity. Its natural balance and freshness allows for low dosage (3 g/l).

Nicolas Maillart, recognized as one of the most innovative winemakers of his generation, has led significant changes in the approach to his vineyard since taking over the family business. He has carried out conversions to organic farming and reintroduced the native Petit Meslier grape variety, which was nearly extinct. Champagne Nicolas Maillart offers the opportunity to explore the Premier and Grand Cru terroirs of the Montagne de Reims.
