Château La Fleur-Pétrus 2016
D.O Pomerol
Cabernet Franc Merlot
Description
Located in the eastern part of the Pomerol plateau, where you can find the best properties, immediate neighbor of Pétrus, the Fleur-Pétrus produces one of the best wines of Pomerol. Following the terrible frosts of 1956, it was necessary to replant the whole vineyard again.
The vineyard is still young, according to the Criterion maintained by its owner, the Society Jean • Pierre Moueix, which acquired it in 1953 to Mr. Garet.
The Fleur-Pétrus 2016 wine is less stout, with a lighter structure than the other pomerols of the Moueix society, such as Pétrus, Trotanoy and Latour in Pomerol, but it is extremely elegant, and has a soft and voluptuous texture. It generally reaches its maturation more quickly than the aforementioned wines and can normally be drunk in the 5 or 6 years following the harvest. The last harvests have been of a constant quality, and the wine has refounded its velvety elegance.
