Description
Domaine Les Alexandrins Saint-Joseph is a red wine made from Syrah in the Northern Rhône, in Saint-Joseph by the Domaine Les Alexandrins winery.
The terroir of Saint-Joseph, one of the most unique in the Northern Rhône Valley, its grapes are grown on a soil of altered granite and boulders, these vines, of an average age of 25 years, are exposed to the east, southeast. After manual harvesting, the bunches are completely destemmed before the berries undergo a 3-day cold maceration with treading and pumping over twice a day and a 20-day vatting.
Domaine Les Alexandrins Saint-Joseph Tasting Notes
It has a beautiful dark red colour with purple hues.
The nose displays great mineral freshness, complemented by aromas of blackcurrant, peony and sweet spices.
On the palate it shows a fine tension, to which its silky tannic structure contributes. Rich and digestible finish.
