Domaine Tariquet vs Classique 70 Cl.
Description
Chateau du Tariquet is a distillery that has preserved its traditional methods over the years. To distill their uniquely flavored Bas-Armagnac, recognized as one of the best in the terroir region, they retain the use of traditional continuous wood stills.
This bottling is a blend of eau-de-vie made from 60% Ugni-blanc grapes and 40% Bacchus grapes, which are grown in the sandy, rocky soil of Gascony, famous for producing extremely rich Armagnacs.
TASTING NOTES
Color: Presents an amber color.
Smell: Offers a nose full of nuts, dried figs and oak.
Taste: On the palate, the fruit shines brighter than expected, intermingling citrus notes with rum raisins, incense, vanilla, mixed nuts and cocoa. The finish is nutty and a bit rustic, but not harsh, and the not insignificant brandy sweetness carries the day.
