Description
Fontaine Gagnard Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru Chenevottes is a white wine made from Chardonnay by Domaine Fontaine-Gagnard.
The Chardonnay grapes come from a plot where hemp (chanvre) was grown in the past.
In Burgundy, tradition is deeply rooted, and winemaking at Fontaine-Gagnard is no exception. All the wines are vinified with indigenous yeast. The whites are aged for one year and the reds for 18 months in barrels made by the domaine.
Fontaine-Gagnard is one of the finest traditional domaines in the Côte d'Or, a true Chassagne specialist, producing excellent wines that set the bar high with each vintage and reflect its wide range of great terroirs.
