Description
Gin Caorunn is a Premium Scottish craft gin distilled in small batches, usually about 1,000 liters. Pure grain alcohol is used, instead of molasses like most gins, to guarantee a high quality.
Caorunn draws on centuries of expertise in the world of distillery, pure Scottish water from the surrounding springs and traditional Celtic ingredients.
The botanicals used are six classics (juniper, orange and lemon rind, cilantro, cassia and angelica root) and five of Celtic origin (rowan berries, heather, myrtle, dandelion and coul).
The final product is clean, full-bodied, fresh and dry, sweet and fruity. Floral, fresh, and citrus aroma.
It is manufactured in Balmenach Destillery in Speyside, Scotland, founded in 1824. It began to manufacture in 2009. Its name is due to the Gaelic name of the rowan, one of its components.
