Description
The giraffe has long been a symbol for Glenmorangie. With its extraordinary height, this animal perfectly illustrates the imposing copper stills in which this single malt is distilled. Its 5.14 meters, the equivalent of the neck of an adult giraffe, make it the tallest in Scotland, allowing only the lightest and most delicate vapors to ascend its neck.
To pay tribute to this animal, the distillery has launched a gift edition consisting of a striking orange metallic box with small perforations simulating the characteristic spots on its skin. The can contains a 70cl bottle of Glenmoragie The Original.
In addition, as a sign of its commitment to helping conserve this animal, whose numbers have declined by 30% in the last 30 years, Glenmorangie has signed a three-year agreement with the Giraffe Conservation Foundation (GCF) and the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland (RZSS). Through this partnership, the distillery is joining efforts to protect African wilderness giraffes and provide habitat for those at Edinburgh Zoo.
