Description
Grappa is the oldest and most traditional distillate of northern Italy, obtained by distilling the solid part of the grape or pomace.
In December 1973, Benito and Giannola Nonino created Monovitigno® Nonino grappa by distilling the pomace of Picolit grapes only, thus revolutionising the production method. The success over the years has been such that distillers in Italy and the rest of the world have been obliged to follow suit.
Grappa Friulana is made from grapes from the eastern hills of Friuli. Grappa is obtained by distilling healthy, ripe grape marc, fermented and distilled in unique batch stills. It is then aged for a year in stainless steel tanks in order to achieve a harmonious and consistent product.
