Haru Rosado 2023
D.O Jumilla
garnacha Syrah Monastrell
Description
Haru is a rosé wine made by Casa Rojo from Monastrell grapes in Jumilla.
The El Valle de La Raja vintage was a very good one, although yields were significantly lower than usual. Rainfall was scarce, concentrated between May and June, which favoured an excellent vegetative development of the plants. This low yield resulted in high quality grapes. The summer, marked by high temperatures and significant variations, caused a staggered ripening of the grapes, which extended the harvest, reaching excellent levels of ripeness.
This wine is made from 100% organic Monastrell from young vineyards around the winery. The harvest was carried out manually on 16 September, using small 12 kg boxes, a few weeks ahead of the red wine harvest. After a brief two-hour contact with the skins, the must was bled to maintain its attractive colour and the characteristic aromas of the Valley. In total, 10,500 litres of a modern, gastronomic rosé were produced, ideal for the demanding climate of the La Raja Valley, while maintaining freshness and typicity.
