Description
Laphroaig 10 Years is distilled with water from the Kilbride Dam, giving rise to the whisky's characteristic peat and its colour. This single malt is one of the five best-selling in the world.
The Laphroaig distillery has a long tradition, as it has been distilled on the island of Islay, where it is located, for a long time. The fame of this house was even notorious in the United States during the famous prohibition.
Tasting notes of Laphroaig 10 Years:
Appearance: Bright golden colour with warm nuances that reflect its maturation in American oak barrels.
Nose: An explosion of medicinal peat smoke, accompanied by notes of seaweed, iodine and a slight touch of vanilla sweetness. Citrus and spice nuances are perceived that balance its intensity.
Mouth: On the palate, it is robust and well structured. The characteristic smoky flavour dominates, followed by notes of oak, black pepper and a touch of saline that evokes the maritime environment of Islay. Its sweetness balanced with vanilla and a subtle touch of honey provides a fascinating contrast.
