Louis Roederer Brut Cristal Rosé 2013 Estuchado
D.O Champagne
Pinot Noir Chardonnay
Description
Louis Roederer Brut Cristal Rosé 2013 is a magnificent pastel pink rosé champagne produced during a very generous vintage in terms of quality and quantity. The mild temperatures and low rainfall allowed for optimal ripening of the grapes. The origins of this champagne date back to 1974, when Jean-Claude Rouzaud decided to go for a Cristal Rosé.
In this vintage, the Chardonnay shines in a new light, deeper, more complex, more saline. Accompanying the Pinot noir, it reveals it and takes it to a higher dimension, bringing a texture and feel that augur remarkable potential.
Cristal Rosé 2013 reflects the light of its soil, like drops of a perfect distillate poured into a pure matrix, the quintessence of a great Champagne on its way to transcending the limits of time!
Louis Roederer Brut Cristal Rosé Tasting notes
Louis Roederer Brut Cristal Rosé is salmon pink in colour with bright golden reflections. Smooth and regular effervescence.
Summer bouquet of fresh, sweet and slightly acidic fruits (redcurrant, vine peach). The concentration and maturity of the Pinot Noir is perceptible, with hints of "fruit liqueur" (raspberry) and nuances of toasted almonds and gingerbread.
The attack on the palate is voluptuous, intense and surprisingly light at the same time. Round and fruity, concentrated, it rests on the freshness of the chalk and the melted but full tannins, which reinforce the wine's precision and character.
The whole is very harmonious, superbly integrated, giving the impression of a natural, refined and profound fullness at the same time.
