Description

Louis Roederer Et Philippe Stark Brut Nature 2009 is a cuveé made from 2/3 Pinot Noir and Meunier and 1/3 Chardonnay, of which 25% of the wine is vinified in wood (oak barrels). Made by the Louis Roederer winery in Champagne.

It was a continental and sunny year, characterised by a remarkably cold and dry winter, followed by an exceptionally sunny summer and an almost total lack of rain during August and September. These conditions favoured a traditional development of the vines, an outstanding state of health and a masterful ripening of the grapes, which allowed the production of dense, fruit-filled and delicious wines. The 2009 clearly stands out on the list of triumphant vintages from the Champagne region.

The grapes are sourced solely from vineyards located in Côteaux de Cumières.

The Brut Nature 2009 undergoes a maturation process in the cellars for an average period of 5 years, followed by an additional rest of 6 months after disgorgement, in order to perfect its maturity. It should be noted that no dosage process is carried out on the wine.

Tasting Notes Louis Roederer Et Philippe Stark Brut Nature 2009

APPEARANCE It presents itself with a yellow hue accompanied by subtle flashes of amber, showing a delicate and refined effervescence.
AROMA The aroma is intense, fusing the sweet floral fragrances of honeysuckle and broom with notes of yellow fruits, such as peach, along with lightly toasted hints of nuts, such as hazelnuts. Spicy and lemony nuances are also perceived, evoking the presence of Sichuan pepper. At the same time, it leaves a sweet and ripe impression, reminiscent of a rich chestnut cream.

TASTE The first contact in the mouth is long and light. The initial texture is smooth and creamy, enveloping the mouth in an exceptional way, followed by a refined saline freshness that provides a delicate and ethereal sensation. The expression of ripe, juicy fruit provides a lovely, delicate experience. The finish reveals pleasant nuances of bitter fruit and citrus spice with a subtle hint of wood.
