Louis Roederer Vintage 2000
D.O Champagne
Chardonnay Pinot Noir
Description
Louis Roederer Vintage 2000, from a single vintage, seeks to capture the maximum expression of the Pinot noir grape variety grown in vineyards located in "La Montagne", especially around the first vines acquired by the winery.
It stands as a witness of an exceptional vintage, being the faithful reflection of the land thanks to a slow maturation process that extends over the years.
The blend, composed mainly of Pinot noir and occasionally complemented with Chardonnay, ages on average 4 years on the lees and rests at least 6 months after disgorgement to perfect its maturity.
The identity of this wine is forged by the power and ripeness of Verzy's Pinot noir, highlighting its notes of intense fruit, juicy pear, concentrated citrus and acidic, almost candied red fruits.
