Description
Luxardo Kirsch is a liqueur made by distilling the juice of a species of wild cherries grown in the Black Forest of Germany.
To make it, the cherry is crushed in its entirety, including the peel, pulp and pit. It is a liqueur with a very high alcohol content.
It is drunk iced in a cognac glass or small glass and is very suitable for making various cocktails. In some regions it is also served at room temperature and warmed by hand, like brandy. It is a classic for cheese fondues.
