The word Malleolus comes from Latin and means hawthorn, a way of naming the vineyards in Pesquera de Duero. Sanchomartin is another hawk by Emilio Moro, located on the hillside. Both malolactic fermentation and aging are carried out in new French oak barrels, the latter being 22 months.
