Description
Michel Noëllat Echezeaux Grand Cru is a red wine made from Pinot Noir by Domaine Michel Noëllat in Burgundy.
Cold pre-fermentation phase of 3 to 5 days. Fermentation from 18 to 20 days in thermo-regulated tanks; Ageing for 16 months in French oak (new 80%). Production of 2000 bottles.
Domaine Michel Noëllat is a winery in the hands of the 5th generation of the family, the brothers Alain and Jean-Marc Noëllat. It is located in the village of Vosne-Romanée. A village of great reputation and one of the most important wine-growing villages in France; more than 80% of the wines produced in the Côte de Nuits are reds, and 24 of the 33 Grand Crus of Burgundy are found here.
The average age of the vines is 40 years, worked with meticulous care, maintaining the principle of minimum intervention and traditional viticulture and winemaking systems.
Michel Noëllat Echezeaux Grand Cru Tasting Notes
Colour: Light cherry-ruby.
Nose: Intense aromas of black fruits, vanilla, hints of wood, other fruits and undergrowth.
Palate: Fresh and very fruity, the passage is balanced and round, long, soft and fine tannins. Magnificent aftertaste and a very long finish with a very fruity and spicy persistence.
