Pelissero Barbaresco DOCG Nubiola 2017
D.O Barbaresco Nubiola DOCG
Nebbiolo
Description
Pelissero Barbaresco DOCG Nubiola is a red wine made from Nebbiolo in the DOCG Nubiola by the Pelissero family.
This wine comes from a selection of 6 small plots. The vineyards are spread between the villages of Treiso, Barbaresco and Neive, with East, South and West exposures, depending on the plot. They were planted between 1980 and 2004 and the altitude is 200-400 metres.
Given the differences in the soils of the different plots, the winemaking techniques and the history that this wine wants to express, we find in this wine a traditional Barbaresco. It is vinified in stainless steel tanks with temperature control and automatically programmed pumping over, the ageing is carried out in barrels and casks in proportions that vary according to the character of the vintage.
Pelissero maintains the same philosophy established by the founders in 1957: varieties such as Nebbiolo, Barbera and Dolcetto from their 42 hectares of vineyards. Their spirit of continuous improvement, passion and commitment are evident when enjoying each of their bottles in the best restaurants around the world.
Pelissero Barbaresco DOCG Nubiola Tasting Notes
Appearance: Intense ruby colour.
Nose: On the nose we find both fruit and flowers, from notes of ripe red fruit to aromatic herbs.
Palate: Smooth, tasty and velvety at the same time, it leaves on the palate sweet notes and a typical roundness of ripe fruit with a dry and somewhat astringent finish so identifiable with the Nebbiolo variety.
