Pimm's No. 1 1l is a classic drink made from gin and seasoned with liqueurs of cream and fruit.
According to the story Pimm, who gave the name to the brand, was the son of a farmer and owner of an oyster bar in the City of London that offered as a digestive in his bar this secret blend of herbal extracts and liquors with gin that used to serve in a Jar Pecie Calling "No. 1".
So, he began to market the brand in 1851 as a bike peddler and gradually grew until in 1865 sold the business and the right to use his name. In 1880 the company was acquired by the then Mayor of London, Horatio Davies, and soon became a fashionable beverage that arrived by boat to all points of the British Empire.
