Description
The Botran rum aged 8 years is elaborated by a slow and laborious process created by the Botran family, which arrived from Burgos to Guatelama. He designed a unique style over the years creating complex rums with a long finish and subtle notes. That's what this drink is, a real pleasure for all the senses.
One of its main qualities is the cultivation of sugarcane varieties highly valued for its concentration of sugars. The first pressing of this special product is obtained concentrated juice, called virgin Honey. From it are distilled the aged rums Botran, which are made with the residue of the elaboration of sugar, ie molasses.
Botran rums that have universal passports and world citizenship rest in casks that have been previously aged in American whiskey, sherry and Oporto. Some are subjected to the power of the fire to cause the wood to release aromas such as vanilla, cocoa, nuts and fruit.
Botran Rum aged 8 years is aged under the Solera system in the mountains of Guatemala. For this purpose we use barrels of American white oak that previously contained whiskey, in toasted casks and in others that previously aged sherry wines.
