Description
Secret Carmenere is a red wine made in CHILE by Viu Manent. Viu Manent is a Chilean vineyard owned by the Viu family. Secret Carmenère comes from the payment of the chapel in the village of Peralillo of vines over 15 years. A previous selection of grapes quality is made and these are pre-fermented in cold for 10 days. Native yeasts are used and during maceration they are carried out daily. Malolactic fermentation is carried out in casks. It 90% of the wine is bred for 7 months in wood (60% French and 40% American) of which 45% is new.
Tasting notes of Carmenere secret
Carmenere secret is purplish red color. It presents a fresh nose with personality that reflects the typicalness of the Carménère. There are red fruits, plum, sweet spices, moist soil and black pepper, which are interspersed with a subtle note of blond tobacco from its oak cask guard. In the mouth it is a medium-sized, vertical, good-volume, fresh, elegant, balanced, complex, long-lasting and persistent wine.
