SOLANERA VIÑAS VIEJAS tasting note:
In the glass, Solanera Viñas Viejas 2016 has an intense cherry red color with purple reflections, a sign of its concentration and youth.
On the nose, it offers a powerful and well-structured aromatic bouquet, dominated by ripe black fruits, such as blackberries and plums, accompanied by subtle notes of spices, dark chocolate and a hint of liquorice. The ageing in barrels adds elegant nuances of vanilla and toasted wood, enriching its complexity.
On the palate, this wine is broad, with a robust structure and well-integrated tannins that provide a velvety texture. The balanced acidity enhances the freshness of the wine and allows the fruit flavours to integrate with the spicy and oak notes, offering a long and persistent finish, with an aftertaste of black fruits and a slight mineral touch.
