The Pale 2023
Rolle garnacha Cinsault Syrah
Description
The Pale is a rosé wine made by Château d'Esclans with Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault and Rolle from the Vin du pays du var appellation.
Born in the Var region of Provence, based on the style of the rosés of Provence, The Pale is a new and disruptive product. Once again, Sasha Lichine continues to redefine the rosé category.
Its name is a nod to how the English historically ordered rosé wine from wine merchants in London, a classic nickname that refers to its pale colour and continues to be used today in the UK.
A chic, timeless, cheerful and slightly kitschy wine that says "Welcome to this colourful soirée" when presented and served.
Harvesting is done at night to prevent oxidation and preserve maximum aroma. The Pale results from the assemblage of juices resulting from a gentle pressing, selected with the greatest care.
Tasting Notes of The Pale
Aromas of candied orange peel and mineral-kissed white flowers are clean and inviting. Pink grapefruit is washed by a meringue sweetness and tempered by cherry pith. The dynamic streak of crushed stone races across the palate, with melon and lilac on the finish
