corvina veronese, rondinella, corvinone, oseleta
Description
Tommasi Amarone della Valpolicella is a red wine from the Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG made by the Tommasi winery with Corvina veronese, Corvinone, Rondinella and Osleta.
Tommasi Amarone della Valpolicella is one of the great classics that no red wine lover should miss. This wine is made following the famous Amarone method, which consists of letting the grapes dry in well-ventilated rooms to concentrate their aromas and sugars, resulting in a red wine of the highest quality and unique character. It is an elegant, full-bodied, silky and persistent wine, representing the best of the great wineries.
The grapes are harvested by hand with a strict selection of grapes. In the specific vintage, the harvest took place a little earlier than usual, starting on 10 September.
On arrival at the winery, the grapes undergo a dehydration process following the traditional method of Amarone wines for a period of 3 months in a very well ventilated loft. Subsequently, fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks for 25 days at a controlled temperature between 25 and 30 °C.
The wine is aged for 3 years in Slavonian oak vats with capacities varying between 35 and 65 hectolitres.
