Tommasi Ripasso Valpolicella is a red wine from the DOC Valpolicella made by the Tommasi winery with Corvina, Rondinella and Corvinona.
The Ripasso technique has its roots in rural traditions, which vary from family to family, and although it is relatively new in the world of Valpolicella wines, it has already become one of its most loved and recognised classics. The secondary fermentation of their top quality Valpolicella Classico on Amarone skins brings intriguing depth and aromatic complexity. For those who enjoy Amarone, they will find that this wine evokes the flavours of their favourite, but with a more affordable price point and lower alcohol content, making it an excellent choice for everyday drinking.
Tommasi Ripasso Valpolicella Tasting Notes
It presents a ruby red colour of great intensity and brightness, with a rich and deeply spiced aroma, where hints of cherry jam, tobacco and a touch of black pepper can be perceived. On the palate, it is characterised by its full yet elegant body, accompanied by soft, silky tannins that culminate in a remarkably long finish.
