Description
Veuve Clicquot la Grande Dame Brut Estuche 2012. La Grande Dame was created in 1972 as a tribute to Madame Clicquot for her quest for quality, innovation and entrepreneurial spirit. It is the ultimate expression of the Veuve Clicquot style; it enhances freshness and minerality, thanks to the wonderful terroir of the grapes.
Japanese icon Yayoi Kusama sends a message of happiness to the world by imagining a unique, joyful and colourful creation specially conceived for Veuve Clicquot.
Yayoi Kusama adorns the box and bottle of La Grande Dame 2012 with her iconic symbols. The opulent flower symbolises life, love and peace. The polka dots, Yayoi Kusama's quintessential print, are transformed into the champagne bubbles that make up La Grande Dame 2012.
Tasting notes of Veuve Clicquot la Grande Dame
On the nose, initial notes of white flowers, such as jasmine, honeysuckle and vine blossom, followed by fruity nuances of apple, pear and peach. Notes of fresh almond and frangipane complete the blend.
On the palate, the cuvée reveals more complex aromas: dried apricot, hazelnut, honey and caramel. The silky textures give the wine its personality, elegance and character. Ageing has imparted a particular depth and strength to the wine.
